Welcome to this online, interactive series. Below are a few community guidelines to help ensure a respectful and interactive time together.

We are being recorded. Recordings will be available in your membership site on PlantBasedSolutions.com after each session. In addition to the video recording, the chat will also be available to view. Private chat is disabled.

How we communicate during the session:

Please stay muted unless you are speaking, that will keep feedback at a minimum and also reduce ambient noise during the session. Zoom works on the concept that the loudest voice has the floor and you would be surprised at how loud a lawn mower can be.

The person who is speaking will have a yellow box around their picture, so if you are not muted and the yellow box is around you – we can hear you.

If you are in a place where there may be a lot of noise, like a coffee shop, please use a headset.

You will find the mute and unmute options in two places:

1. At the bottom left hand corner of the screen look for these icons:

Please begin your video if the red line is over the video camera icon and to unmute – click on the microphone. If your microphone does not unmute – please send a chat message to the host indicating that you need them to unmute you.

2. At the bottom center of your screen you will see these icons:

Open Manage Participants or participants and you will see your name or site location listed in the right hand side bar with the same microphone icon. Click your microphone to mute and unmute. If nothing happens when you click, please send a chat message to the host.

How to chat:

To chat, send a written message or to ask a question in writing, please open the chat at the bottom of your screen, a box will appear on the right hand side of the screen and you can type a message. Please remember that all chat activity is recorded and will be archived in the records of each session.

To share, engage or respond to a question please physically raise your hand and when recognized, unmute your line and share. To encourage the interaction, please state your name prior to speaking so that we can all get to know each other. Some people may be listening to the audio only and that will help all of us understand who is speaking and when.

Most of all listen, connect and engage – one at a time. Everything that each of us share is valuable and we all want to be certain that we hear everyone.
